A digital painting for a contest on Equus-Forum.
We had to draw how spring takes over from winter, so I decided to draw a horse with a fine fur on the forehand and a thicker winter coat on the hindquarters, from a magic circle enabling change the season!

Overall
Vision
Originality Technique ImpactAll in all it's a beautiful & fairly original piece. The lighting is great, the shadows look amazing & the overall detail of the horse is divine. Because there isn't a definitive source of light from either side of the background, there shouldn't be a formed (shape) shadow. The shadow gives the viewer a sense that there is light against the side of the horse that we are seeing. As there appears to be no such lighting, there should only be a black-ish/gray-ish shadow directly under the horse. The grounding looks very good, as well. In the end, though, Great job, hun!
